What Is Persistent Yellow Fluid Discharge From Nostril Suggestive Of?

We just returned home from Breckenridge, Colorado early this morning after being there all if last week on vacation. I started having pain on Thursday while I was there in my upper right back tooth where I had had a root canal and a crown done about 5-6 years ago. I didn t know if it was because of the high elevation that I was getting this severe pain in my tooth. But today, my tooth does feel better, but after brushing my teeth earlier today, I went to blow my nose and a clear yellow fluid just came pouring out one side of my nostril. I could not get it to stop until I just stuck a Kleenex up my nostril. Not sure what is going on. Feeling a little concerned.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to sinusitis or rhinitis.

For that, you may require antibiotics tab azithromycin after ENT consultation.

Along with that do steam inhalation and Betadine gargle.

In case of fever, you may require tablet acetaminophen.

Keep your self hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
