Hii sir I am a student recently completed bachlors and i was about to go to international colege for further studies but suddenly from last month i found pain in my hands and foot It started from foot n then involved hands I realize it in morning and evening mostly I am 22 years old and i got my blood tested it comes raf positive But in numeric raf value its normal Now what i can do i am so sad to know this now Please tell me cant i go
RA factor auto-antibody directed against a variety own tissue. The test is positive in auto – immune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. A positive RAF test alone cannot indicate auto-immune disorder. However some healthy people have positive RAF. The prevalence of positive RAF in healthy people is 5%. Even healthy people with viral infection such as infectious mononucleosis can have positive test for a short while. Therefore, a positive test does not always indicate disease. A positive RAF with clinical symptoms & signs is considerable. A through clinical & laboratory evaluation is need as you are RAF positive with clinical symptoms. A suggest you to consult a rheumatologist who will further guide you about next course of action. Thanks
