General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.

The lab test indicates that you are suffering from syphilis.
You need to consult a doctor to prescribe 3 weekly injections Benzathine Penicillin. If you are allergic to Pencillins your doctor will prescribe another antibiotic Doxycycline, 100 mg orally twice daily for 2 weeks.

At six and 12 months after treatment, you need to be reexamined and undergo repeat serologic testing.

Besides the treatment you must:
1. Avoid sexual contact until the treatment is completed and blood tests indicate the infection has been cured
2. Notify your sex partners so that they can be tested and get treatment if necessary
3. Be tested for HIV infection

Hope these answer your queries.
