What Is Presence Of Blood In The Urine Of A Child Suggestive Of?
Hi my daughter is 6 years old and has done a urine test which showed up that she had blood in the urine which you can not see unless its looked at through a microscope. I was told that the normal amount of red blood cells are 10 but my daughter has 19 what does this mean and do i have anything to worry about
Hi, Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. Please find my advice below-:As per your history you have not mentioned if there was any PUS cell present along with RBC .It indicated various pathological processes so do following investigations first to know the exact cause of problem- 1)Take (CEFOPROX dry syrup 5ml morning and 5 ml night )and (BELOGEN dry syrup) 3 times a day and Alkasol-P oral 10 ml morning 10 ml afternoon and 10 ml night 2)Do an ultrasound exam to ruled out any kidney stones 3)Kidney function test(UREA +CREA) 4)Full blood count with differential
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best. Thanks,
