What Is Prognosis For Hyperemesis Gravidarum?

I am 21 weeks pregnant and I have been suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. I was hospitalised for a week and given IV fluids. That one week I was perfectly ok. After returning home vomiting restarted after two days . I took Domstal tab once a day for two days and there was no vomiting for 6 days. Again I had the vomiting and I took Domstal and was ok for 4 days. Pl tell me till which time this hyperemesis gravidarum would continue.

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion hyperemesis continues for varying periods in different people. It might subside by 24 weeks or it might go on.even upto 8 months. But One good thing is that it is controlled by antiemetics. So continue the medicine. It doesn't cause any harm to fetus but the excess vomitings make you and the baby weak.So continue the medicines till you need.Take adequate fluids upto 3 litres. And eat small quantities of food every 2 hrly.Dont worry.
