What Is Severe Pain In The Lower Back Suggestive Of?

dear doc , im 61 yrs. old, 300 lbs. i am having severe , crippling pain in my lower right side in my back , being all my life dealing with kidney lnfections , i dont seem to have the symtoms of an infection , the brownish color and the rank smell or any burning or itching just a lack of very much . ive tried the routine of water binging and cranberry use , stabbing pain with the slightest move . help!!!????

Hello,

The kind of back pain that follows heavy lifting or exercising too hard is often caused by muscle strain. But sometimes back pain can be related to a disc that bulges or ruptures.

If a bulging or ruptured disc presses on the sciatic nerve, pain may run from the buttock down one leg. This is called sciatica.
