What Is Skin Cellulitis?

What is skin cellulitis ? I have a deeply bruised area above the ankle and below the calf. This has been swo;;en bruised for six months. Antibio0tics hot and cold compresses have helped along with lasix but I have been just taken off the antibiotics and lasix because it affected my kidneys, I was told that my potassium was low and my beef, lamb, liver, veal, and salmon were also. After being hospitalized and spending time in rehab I have been going to physical therapy with some success, The vascular surgeon doesnt know what to do about the leg. it is getting darker and the bruise hard. Ultra sound has shown no blood clots. mri HAS SHOWN nothing either, An ankle and foot Podiatrist says it appears to be edema to him there are bruises on both ankles and he recommends a tactile medical therap;y device to treat lymphedema it reduces cellulitis episodes by 79%, Chronic swelling is also reduced by pneumatic compression therapy, what shall I do?

Hello

Cellulitis is a common, potentially serious bacterial skin infection. The affected skin appears swollen and red and is typically painful and warm to the touch.Cellulitis usually affects the skin on the lower legs, but it can occur in the face, arms and other areas. It occurs when a crack or break in your skin allows bacteria to enter.
Such as you should see an infectionist specialist
