What Is Stopped Baby Movement In The 38th Week Of Pregnancy Suggestive Of?

I am 38 weeks pregnant, and I havent felt my baby move since earlier in the afternoon, it s now 4.30am. Yesterday night I accidently took had a trazadone thinking it was a tylenol. It didn t make me sleep. I have a bad cold and also a boil at the moment. I don t know if this is related but I thought it d be good to give all the backround. I tried drinking cold water and laying on my left side and still nothing.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
No fetal movement during pregnancy should always be investigated. The use of trazadone is not advised during the first trimester of pregnancy. In your case, no particular contraindications or such side effects.I will suggest you see the Doctor immediately to evaluate the fetus. You may reach the ER on phone and an ambulance will come get you if no means of transportation.Waiting till morning may not be a good decision for the safety of your baby.Examination for fetal heart tones and an emergency ultrasound may help guide decision taking.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
