What Is The Best Time To Take Postinor After Having Unsafe Sex?

My period ended 2-3 days ago and my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex today.. he s here for a week can I just wait till he leaves to take postinor or should I just take it asap? I know postinor makeS you bleed as if you are on your period and I don t want that to ruin our week together please advise

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive pill. It needs to be taken within 72 hours of having unprotected intercourse. Earlier it is taken, the protection seems to be better.
It would protect from pregnancy by causing withdrawal bleeding just like periods within 3 weeks from the day of intake of pills. In case you do not get periods within 3 weeks, you need to seek medical attention immediately.
You must take both tablets of Postinor 2 and leave no longer than 12 hours between the 2 doses.
