Hi and welcome to ehealthdesk
I'm Dr. Taimur and I will be addressing your health concerns.
I have read your question and understand your concern.
In rheumatic heart disease the function of heart slowly and gradually decreased as the valve function is disturbed, so in cardiovascular stress conditions like pregnancy and delivery the compromised heart can not cope with the increased demands of body resulting in aggravation of symptoms. In my patients I will go for Echocardiography to look for the valve structure and heart dynamics, and then treatment accordingly. My advice will be to consult a cardiologist and get your patient properly examined and investigated.
I hope this might be of some help, if you have any query feel free to ask me any time.
Thanks.
Dr. Taimur
