Growth spurt is known to happen during adolescence. Hence, you can grow few inches taller during this period.
Increasing height at the age of 20 is quite a challenging task. This is because, after attaining
puberty, the long bones of the body stop growing further as their growing ends fuse with the bone. These bones then attain a permanent size.
There are many medications and injections advertised, which claim to increase height. Their effect is doubtful and hence do not waste your time, energy and money on them.
Regular practice of
yoga is known to help in improvement of the posture and ease tension in the body which, in turn, can help make a person feel taller.
Drinking milk, stretching
aerobic exercises and proper sleep can increase your height as the secretion of
growth hormone is increased during sleep, especially in the early morning hours.
Eat healthy foods, fruits and vegetables during this period. Have an optimum intake of fluids. Avoid intake of junk foods. These things should help you to attain optimum height during such growth period.
Prescription of growth hormones might help along with low dose
steroids, but you need to
consult Endocrinologist for proper evaluation, before taking any such products as they need to be monitored carefully to avoid any overdose and side effects.
