What Is The Bilateral Itching On The Instep Of My Foot?

I have a very localised bilateral itching on the instep of my foot. Moreso on my right instep tho than my left. No redness, swelling, flaking or visible discolouration or skin change. I do have degeneration of L3-L5 in my spine tho and have read that the itching could be nerve damage?

Hello,

Yes, such symptoms can be due to peripheral neuropathy. Loss of fine sensations, numbness and tingling etc can help confirm the diagnosis. A clinical neurological evaluation can help to confirm the dignosis.Do see your GP first to rule out minor infection or allergies as well.Regards
