What Is The Cause And Medication For Dryness In The Throat?

my throat has been feeling extrememly dry on and off for the past few days and no matter how much water i drink it wont go away it almost feels like it makes it worse. also my throat doesn't hurt just feels dry like ive been sleeping with my mouth open for two days straight(which i havent)

The dryness in the throat can be because of the reduced salivary secretion from the salivary glands. This can occur secondary to the stone in the salivary gland. So consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. You need to get a radiograph and an ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis. Mean while you can use artificial salivary substitutes like carboxy methyl cellulose. The other possible cause can be mouth breathing, for this you need to consult an orthodontist and get it treated.
