What Is The Cause And Remedy Of Sensation In Ears ?
I have a sensation in my right ear that feels like wind is steadily blowing by my ear. I gently cleaned it with a q tip to remove any water from my shower but the sound persists. What could it be? How can I make it go away? I am so distracted by it I am having a difficult time studying for an important exam tonight. Please help
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of blowing wind in ear which could be due to ear infection, wax buildup, Meniere's disease, water bubble or infection of ear. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply hot dry compresses to external ear , keep it dry and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and discomfort . You can try hydrogen peroxide once to soften the wax . If this method doesn't work then consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may examine you ear with otoscope . Doctor may also order CT scan to confirm the diagnosis and rule out condition like ear infection and eustachian tube dysfunction . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin at least for a week along with decongestants
