What Is The Cause And Treatment For Severe Knee Pain?

Hello I have tremendous knee pain that feels like pins being stuck into the side of my knee and these pains are much worse at night when i am lying down. My knee has been xrayed and I have osteo arthritis in the knee, got a cortizone injection, but this knee pain does not leave, as it feels as if my muscles are pulling away from the bone where the tendons are.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Osteoarthritis is chronic progressive disease.
Cortisone injection is only for temporary relief, it is not permanent solution for the problem.
This suggests that you are having end stage osteoarthritis. And for this total knee replacement (TKR) is the only option.
So consult orthopedic /knee replacement specialist and discuss about TKR surgery.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
