I had a small lump in my armpit yesterday which was like a pimple and this morning another lump came up nearby but it is larger and red and swollen (about the size of a 50C piece. Now the left side of my neck and face feels hot and the skin feels tight, like an infection
Hello, Thanks for the query. You might have developed folliculitis. Folliculitis is a bacterial infections. Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests. Please meet a dermatologist and request to do culture and sensitivity test on pus obtained from the lesion for exact diagnosis. Once the exact bacteria is known, specific treatment can be given. Improper use of antibiotic can lead to resistance.
