What Is The Cause For A Sore On My Tongue When On Synthroid?

I have been taking Synthroid 50 mcg (large nodules) for about one month now and in the past 10 days , I have developped a sore on my tongue, it is also very painful and dry .. Can this be related to the medication as I have not change my eating habits.

Hi soreness in the tongue may be due to many causes like local trauma, viral infection or any illness, vitamin deficiency and even due to dehydration. Rarely it can be due to drug also. So get examined by your doctor once and you may try dechallenge and rechallenge to the drug with your doctor's advice to know whether it is due to drug. Now apply glycerine gel and take multi vitamin supplements with plenty of water.
