What Is The Cause For Bleeding During 18 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

Hi, my wife is in hospital, in Ukraine. She is 18 weeks pregnant, takind 4 duphaston a day + injection of progesterone. She had very small bleeding 2 weeks ago, nothing since. She is scared that she is taking too much progesterone and that it is not adviced to take this after 20 weeks, so even if she reduces thes dose, she will not be able to reduce completely before this 20 week...

Hi, welcome to healthcare magic forum. I had gone through your history. IT seems your wife has spotting (small bleeding) 2 weeks ago. This is a normal. No need to worry much. Either because of less progesterone secretion from placenta or because of stretching of uterus due to growing fetus spotting occurs.

I would like to advise you to follow the instruction of your doctor. There is no harm in taking progesterone injection as it will help in maintaining your pregnancy.
Better reconsult your doctor before stopping the injection.

Hope I answered all your queries.
Wish your wife good health & good luck.
Thanks.
