What Is The Cause For Blood And Mucous In The Stool?
My 4 month old baby has a little blood and mucous in her stool. It is usually a yellow or green color. No fever or signs of discomfort. I am also in mexico but she drinks bottled water. Doctor here says its e coli but didnt test her poop. Only felt her stomach.

Blood in stools in such a young child must be evaluated as soon as possible under the care of a local pediatrician/physician.
It can be due to hard stools, parasites or some times gut polyps.
E.Colin is unlikely because it will certainly make the child sick if it was a cause.
Getting a stool examination and a complete blood count will be good point to start with.
