What Is The Cause For Blood With The Vomit As Suffering From Bulimia?

I have bulimia and just threw up; is it normal to spit out mucus that s mixed with blood afterwards? This has been happening every time for the past few months but I ve scaled back on purging and it always goes away eventually. What s the source of the blood?

As you strain a lot for vomit out, mucus membrane in throat gets damaged and blood comes from it with food particles. it is due to laceration
