What Is The Cause For Dark Brown Color Ejaculation?
Hi --
I noticed pain during urination and more frequent urination over the last 4-5 days. During the day, there is a bit of milky white discharge. My gonads and vas deferens are more sensitive to touch and I'm experiencing lower abdominal pain. Yesterday, the beginning of my ejaculate was brown. Today, all of my ejaculate was a dark brown color.
An urgen care doctor did a rectal exam, last night. He said the prostate was not enlarged. I was started on antibiotics for gonorrhea and chlamydia. But I think it is highly unlikely to be an STD. The only person I had been intimate with had just recently been tested and was negative.
Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Arun's Response
Hello, thank you for your contact to healthcare magic. If I am your treating doctor I would like to tell you that STD is unlikely in your case. Dark blood in the ejaculate means that the blood is originated in the testicles and in the distal vas deference. There is no chance of near urethrainjury or STD. In most of the such cases a cause of such a ejaculate is not known. The condition is self limiting it will be corrected in a week or so. There is no need to take any treatment. But you can consult the doctor if you arise some of the symptoms because of it. If you have to ask me anything else you can ask me. Thank you. Dr Arun tank infectious disease specialist.
