What Is The Cause For Diarrhea With Ear Pain When On Amoxicillin?

About 15 days ago I started vomiting and having diarrhea, the next day my throat was burning and my ears were hurting. This lasted for a week before my doctor called in 875 mg 2x a day of amoxicillin. I was feeling better until last night when all symptoms came back, even worse than before, without the vomiting. I have hashimotos hypothyroidism. Don't think it's normal to be so sick again after such a strong dose of antibiotics

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, the first ting happened is due to the infection, called the food poisoning.After the treatment with the amoxicillin the infection has been controlled, and but now the symptoms may be due to the amoxicillin gastric irritation.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms omeprazole, domperidone,and and antacid gel. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
