What Is The Cause For Dry Eye And Dry Skin In Virtually Bedridden People?

I have had Lambert Eaton for 34 years. I m 70 now and at the end of the road. I am virtually bedridden My eyes hurt a lot ...dry eye, dry mouth, dry skin. I put ice packs on my eyes at night. The pharmacist sent systane gel . I am using it, but my eyes still hurt. Almost everything that normal patients use is contraindicated for LEMS. I HAVE NOCTURIA ALSO. The drug that physician ordered is absolutely contraindicated for Myasthenics. I can t walk at all, so during the night, I ride my scooter 3 feet to bathroom door. It is sad but true but my Neurologists don t know as much as I do about my condition or they are just not telling. thank you. charlotte in Tallahassee

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having dry eye and you are suffering from Eaton Lambert syndrome.
Systane gel is a lubricating or artificial tear eye drop and this can be used for dry eye.
This unlike many drugs which are contraindicated cab be used safely even in Eaton Lambert syndrome hence no need to worry about the drug related side effects.
