What Is The Cause For Itchiness And Swelling Inside My Vagina After Sex?

two days after I have sex with my husband, I start to feel itchy and swelling and when I stick my finger inside I can feel some bumps and it also peeling and it smells from inside my vagina. I'm worry that it might have been some thing, is there any medicine over the counter to be treated for?

Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
itching and swelling may be due to infection. Ideally you should undergo a pelvic examination along with pap smear and infection screening.
To patients with similar complaints in my clinic I prescribe the Clotrimazole and clindamycin pessary for 7 days to be inserted into the vagina. It may also be necessary to treat your husband.
