What Is The Cause For Lump On My Buttocks?

I have a lump in the beginning of my butt crack and it hurts to sit, walk, lay down, bend over etc. I m going to make an appointment for the urgent care doctor tomorrow to see what they tell me. It just happened last night. A little back story.... I enjoy siting down in my shower and just thinking about life quite often and I ve always been able to get up but last night... I have no idea what happened. My boyfriend thinks it may have something to do with my slight scoliosis. Please give me a second opinion. I could really use it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
thanks for the details provided.
- according to the details provided it must be a abscess due to a follicle infection .
- a wide spectrum antibiotics and sitz bath will releive the pain for sure .
- if it's big you will need a incision and drainage to be done .
- if the above is not a cause you will need to get a lumbosacral X-ray done for any lysis or listhesis .
- do consult your doctor I have given the most probable diagnosis.

thank you
