What Is The Cause For Pale Brownish Red Discharge After The Periods?
Hi, I had my period which was normal. It lasted 6 days and the stopped and then 4 days later I began to have a pale brownish/red discharge which has lasted 5 days with slight cramps and back ache. I have done a lot of physical exercise lately, could that have anything to do with it?
Pale brown red discharge after periods is commonly due to old or dried blood that was slow to leave the uterus. Some women may experience brown spotting after strenuous exercises and it is not a cause for concern. However, it can be due to disordered endometrium. If not, it could be due to changes in the lining of uterus. In case you are bleeding between periods it can be due to thickening of the endometrium, fibroid, polyp, cysts, etc.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynae, get USG of uterus and other investigations done to study any pathology that is causing discomfort so that treatment can be started. Stay away from addictions if any. Take adequate rest and avoid stressful lifestyle. You should take food rich in minerals (iron, calcium, etc.) and proteins.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
