ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

I dont think you are being paranoid and your concern is genuine. Your child has developed, what looks like a follicular tonsillitis, which is causing all his symptoms and he will need antibiotics for the same. Please meet your doctor.
In the meantime, i would like you to start warm saline gargles and steam inhalation for your child.
Thanks
