What Is The Cause For Sore Throat And Enlarged Tonsils With Fever And Chills?

My daughter was hospitalized with backache, fever, chills, sore throat, enlarged tonsils. The hospital ran all the tests, including scans and sonogram and everything came up negative. They are discharging her, but she's really quite ill and weak. Do you know what could be causing this?

Hi ,As per your clinical history it appears as your daughter having Acute tonsilitis.
In my opinion , you should start antiseptic mouthwash , Plenty of fluids , Paracetemol + Ibuprofen combination , IV Antibiotic if hospitalised or Tab azithromycin , Vit C for 7-10 day till improvement.
ENT consultation & examination should be done.
