What Is The Cause For Swollen And Pink Eyes?
I am an elementary school principal and today I suddenly felt like the skin around my eyes were swelling. Specifically, my left eye more than the right. I noticed, and others did as well, that my left eye was pink and my lower eyelid was puffy. This was at 2 pm. When I got home, about 5 pm, I noticed the lower lid was puffy. It seems to be getting worse and looks like I got punched. There is no itchiness, drainage, or anything with the eyeball or upper lid. The area were the eyelashes come out seems sore to the touch.
I have had pink eye before, but have never seen anything like this before with so much swelling specific to one lid.

It can be due to allergic reaction to something or even a conjuctivitis.Better you should have an eye examination by an ophthalmologist to rule out.If it is conjuctivitis you might need antibiotics.If allergic antihistamine drops or corticosteroid drops might help you.
