What Is The Cause For The Inability To Talk Due To The Sores On The Lips With The Use Of An Ointment?

hello, my son is in a rehabilitation facility & he has some sores on his lips & they are very tender to the touch. he is being treated with some kind of oitment but its not getting better, its been 2 weeks. he is unable to talk. he does take dilantin

The sores on his lips can be due to side effects of dilantin. Another common cause is deficiency of vitamins (B complex). You must supplement vitamins in his diet regularly. Please consult a doctor to confirm the condition.
