What Is The Cause Of A Lump Under The Breast?

I have a quarter size lump under my left breast against my rib cage. I have recently slowed down breast feeding my 13 month old baby. I also have notices a couple other lumps on my left side around my rib cage. They do become sore and uncomfortable. I had an ultra sound and it came back normal. It is very confusing.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The mentioned swelling could be a benign condition like lactocele or some other pathology as your ultrasonography report is normal.

Kindly attach the reports and photo of the lesion so that I can check it. FNAC from swelling can be done for primary work up to rule out the nature of the lesion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
