What Is The Cause Of A Red Patch?

I have had this red patch on my hands for two weeks now and they have both been mildly itchy (like once in a blue moon), however over two weeks its gone from red to blackish on my right hand and purplish on my left and they have both started to burn. Would you be able to identify what this may be?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to either an eczematous reaction or photodermatitis. I have recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily along with frequent and regular application of a moisturising cream on the entire arms 2-3 times in a day.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
