I recently have attained a new girlfriend and she enjoys kissing and sucking on my neck I noticed shortly after my lymph node in my neck was swollen and has been for past two days. I feel completely fine no fever no symptoms showing im sick so could my lymph node swell from excessive kissing and sucking on my neck?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, while gaining sexul pleasure by sucking/ kissing your neck, minute injuries to skin might have occured, with all the possebilityof passing infection via her infected saliva. This has caused enlargement of lymph glands, denoting bodies attempt to fight bacteris/viruses. The infection will mostly be controlled by a short course of anti inflammatory drugs ( Ibuprofenparacetamol combination)with antibiotics of Doxycycline group. In case they do not regress within 5 days, consult your doctor for physical examination & investigations to rule out more seveir infection. Thanks.
