What Is The Cause Of Aching And Stiff Joints, Inability To Take In Fluids And Pain All Over The Body ?

Hey, my 15 year old sister was awakened from her sleep with aching joints and stiffness, she has an incapability of swallowing any fluids such as water and so on, she also spoke that she was in a lot of pain in all of her body and couldn't rest because she feels uncomfortable.

To add she doesn't exercise but she isn't exactly someone who lounges around, her diet can vary from the healthier foods such as Pasta, Noodles and Tuna to deep fried chicken and so on.

Is there an answer to what this may be?

Hello and welcome.

Your sisters symptoms are indeed vague and cannot be used to suspect a diagnosis, but they do raise concern for possible viral infections, dehydration, etc.

I would strongly recommend a complete blood count to be conducted at a hospital including a check on malaria, dengue fever, etc; to be ruled out/confirmed.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
