What Is The Cause Of Arm And Leg Weakness During 32 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I am about 32 weeks pregnant and this morning I woke up with a good amount of arm weakness more in the left than right and some weakness in my legs. Just wondering if that s anything to be concerned about. I ve had sciatic pain off and on for the last few weeks and has gotten slightly worse at times, then eases up. Didn t know if that could be a factor.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Sciatica could be triggered by the increase in weight and also the pressure the weight gain puts on the lower spine. It should be nothing to worry about. As for the weakness, it is just one symptom and is too vague to be commented on. It would be wise to visit your treating OBGYN for an elaborate evaluation (e.g. hemoglobin, blood glucose, vitamin B12, vitamin D, etc.).

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
