Hi,
Noted the history about your son having high grade fever, not drinking or eating due to oral pain and started bleeding from mouth, could not pinpoint the spot of bleeding.
The commonest reasons I can think about are as follows:
Typhoid and such
enteric fever can give high temperature, oral ulcers and bleeding from nose or mouth as secondary effect.
Gingivitis.
Oral thrush.
Severe stomatitis.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Take your son to a
Pediatrician or an ENT Surgeon for proper and in detail clinical evaluation, examination and investigations of blood, urine and stool with specific tests as per the clinical diagnosis.
Oral cavity examination to know the exact location and cause.
Get started on proper antibiotic, supportive and symptomatic treatment.
Oral care with
povidone iodine gargles.
Complete the courses till well cured.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General and ENT Surgeon
