What Is The Cause Of Breathlessness And Sore Throat?
Hi there, my Son has been waking up in the night and saying he can t breathe. THis also happens during the day. The doctor wants to send him to a sleep clinic to check on his adnoid. Wouldn t it be better to start with an x-ray and some antibiotics because it is bacterial. He is also complaining of a sore throat and has had three fevers in the last three weeks. This is so stressful. Thank you in advance!

Thanx. He may be suffering from sinusitis and adenotonsillitis. its better to get xray paranasal sinuses and xray nasopharynx for adenoid hypertrophy. Does he snore at night.Also start following medication Syp. Coamoxiclave, syp. cetrizine, syp. Brufeen+pseudoephidrine and normal saline nasal drops and get review after getting xray reports
