What Is The Cause Of Bright Green Color Discharge From Nose With Chronic Sinus Infections History ?

I have had chronic sinus infections forever. Have had 4 operations on my sinuses and have done two weeks of a Z pack within the last six weeks. Antibiotics rarely do much but in the last week or so I have had the brightest color green discharge I have ever seen before, and I have seen just about everything imaginable that can come out of a nose. Could anything else be causing this. It is a bright green like I have never seen.

Hi.
The Bright Green color of the nasal discharge is suggestive of infection by atypical bacteria which gives this color to the pus/ secretions. I would advise you to get this Secretion tested for :: Gram Staining . AFB Staining, culture and sensitivity by aerobic and anaerobic culture methods.
The reports will guide for the next type of antibiotic you will be given. History of 4 operations and Z-pack noted.
You may have to take the antibiotics for minimum of 3 weeks along with antihistamine and anti-inflammatory medicines.
IT is better to go for a review CT scan of the sinuses.
