had a recent sinusitis due to infected and extracted tooth.. now I can't hear very well in a already high frequency loss ear.. left ear feels congested but audiologist today told me it's not and he believes it's auditory nerve damage.. what a coincidence it happend same time as infection. I'm taking Keflex . can it cause this too?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ear congestion with history of sinusitis and tooth extraction which seems to be due either residual respiratory tract infection or due to nerve impingement. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for otoscopic examination of ear and audietery testing as well and start treatment after proper examination. You should take combination of antibiotic such as Levofloxacin along with antiinflammatory medicatiom. Put otogesic ear drops in ear. Apply warm compresses. You should go for mouth stretching exercise's. Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
