What Is The Cause Of Discoloured Wrists And Hands?

This past month i have noticed both my hands and wrists are slightly dry and slightly discolored. Also they are both symmetrical to each other. I have no idea what can be casuing this. I dont think it a allergic reaction to the hand soap i use because my face should be dry as well right?

Hello,

It can be due to sun exposure or if not then it can be either related to iron or vit. B 12 deficiency ( amongst the common causes).

You should get the levels done and if found reduced- treating them will improve the condition.
Till then please apply cream as many times as you feel and also try to avoid using dryness causing soaps. Better use soap which have high cream or moisturiser content like dove or nivea.

Please see a dermatologist if this dosent work because skin conditions are better treated when seen in person compared to treated on description.

Hope you get well soon.
