What Is The Cause Of Dryness, Flakiness On Outer Corner Of Eyelid?

Hello, the outside corner of my right eye and eye lid has been showing signs of dryness, flaky skin and that edge of my eye is now red and taking on the appearance of pink eye. It does not hurt, burn or feels like something foreign is in there. I used some lotion on the lid and wonder if that could be the casue of the irritation? Even if it is, it does not explain the dryness of the eyelid and the area off the corner of my eye. I am wondering if there is some type of infection causing this as I have not experienced this before. Thank you

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears to be the pterezium, a thickening of the cornea, in that area, when treated the redness will disappear and a thickening will be left from the angle to the cornea, it may extend even over the cornea also.
I advise you to consult an ophthalic surgeon for diagnosis .
wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
