It seems that you may be having follicultis. It is an inflammation of hair follicles. It may be due to damage to hair follicles and secondary bacterial infection of hair follicles after shaving the beard. I would like to advise for trimming the beard rather then shaving. Short course of antibiotics may be taken along with anti inflammatory drugs. Apply clindamycine gel at night wherever you have lesions. I am sure for your recovery and prevention of the relapse. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
