What Is The Cause Of Gurgling Sounds In Ear During Pregnancy?

Hello iam 20 weeks pregnant and started hearing gurgling sounds in my left ear can it affect my infant's hearing , i don't get to see my Doctor until Feb 24th can i wait or should i wait to see her or do i go to the nearest emergency department, i don't have any cold , pain, or discharge in the ear it started last week and starting to be constant

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Symptoms involving YOUR ear have NOTHING to do with the fetus in terms of their developement. This is obviously a local problem in your ear and might represent the buildup of fluid in the middle ear (the space behind the ear drum). While you are currently not experiencing any concerning symptoms, it is worth having someone look into your ear and see if there is an explanation. This does not warrant a visit to the ER unless you are having pain, but I would not wait until 2/24 to get it checked out.
