What Is The Cause Of Knee Pain?

If I have knee pain on the inside of my knee, that has been here for the past week (since last monday), and on the monday when it started to hurt I heard a pop and then it gave out a little and now here I am on Wednesday and I am still in pain. Should I go see a doctor?
