I just started birth control and when I started I had also started my period that Sunday that I took the first birth control pill. Well every since I got off my period I have been having brown blood come out every day. So long story short, I have been bleeding for 2 weeks now.. should I be concerned?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hormonal contraception can cause break through bleeding in some women. It is possible that this is the reason for the abnormal bleeding that you are bleeding.

There are medications that can help to halt the bleeding. In addition , if the abnormal bleeding continues your doctor can consider switching to another contraceptive that may not cause any problems for you.

I hope this helps
