Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Gagging sensation may be due to acid reflux or asthmatic episode or laryngitis. It may be pharygitis or tonsilitis.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid smoking, use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If no improvement you have to show to ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
