What Is The Cause Of Recurring Bites On Body?

I have been home in the uk for 5 days after a 2 week trip away in sierra leone. I wasn t troubled too much by bites when I was there, however now I am back myself and the rest of my family keep getting bitten (like knat bites)? Is this a coincidence or could it be something I have brought home from Africa?
