What Is The Cause Of Red Discharge A Week After My Period?

I had my period 5 weeks ago. It was heavier and longer than normal. A week later I spotted a dark reddish discharge that I thought wss just the end of my period. 4 weeks later I am still spotting. It is thick and almost a dark purple color. What is going on?

if it's a one time occurrence you can ignore but if it's recurring get yourself checked for infections and hormonal changes. if you are sexually active please rule out pregnancy with a home pregnancy test.
