What Is The Cause Of Redness And Swelling?

hi doctor,i just got edermastamp on my face to treat my acne scars from several years done this morning.my face right now look terrible,reg,sweeling,im very stressful and want cry when i see my face rigt now,and i very sure that its wont be healing after at least 3 weeks i wonder íts support to be like that after treament?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have redness and swelling on face which could be due to due to various hormonal imbalances, stress, poor hygiene as it is formed due to clogged facial pores that get infected with bacteria. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses or ice pack to the affected area , stop using any cosmetic product that you started in recent past , protect your skin from UV radiations of sun and take antihistamine like benadryl twice a days . If condition doesn't get better in 24 hours then consult dermatologist again for proper examination . Doctor may order allergy test , skin patch test or blood test to confirm the diagnosis and may prescribe steroid medicine or antibiotics .
