What Is The Cause Of Sore Throat And Blurred Vision?
Hello Doc,
I'm Jo , 30 years old male from Indonesia.
Pardon me, if my english isn't good.
at 5 months ago i had unprotected sexual contact with another guy, one week after i develop many smptoms such as, sore throat that still exist until now, mild fever, diarhea for 3 days and continuing loose stool for few weeks, malaise/fatigue, flatulence, rash on my hand palms and until now my hand palm easy to peel.
i've being stressfull this 5 months.
i've been take rapid antibody test at weeks 3 : NR
and then 5 months rapid test again : NR.
Until now i'm still experiencing sore throat, i saw many lumps on my back of my throat, tired easily, mild headache, hard to remembering new information, blurred vision and i found floaters and dark spots.
1. how acurate my test are?
2. should i scheduling another test, i don't have an acces to PCR RNA tes in here (small town) ?
3. how about delayed seroconversion? what are the causes?

2. The symptoms that you mentioned are classified under Acte Retroviral symptoms (ARS) which is present in 60% of individuals after unprotected sex
3. You already done the rapid antibody test twice and the latest is around 5th month of exposure to risk. So you need not be worried
4. If you have anu doubt then kindly do the Western blot test which is confirmative after 6 weeks of exposure to hiv
5. For treatment of sore throat kindly use these medications
Tab.Augmentin 625mg twice daily for 7 days
